The Feast for Crows original book cover feature the goblet that men would drink out of. This most likely symbolized the Red Wedding that took place in the fourth novel in the Fire and Ice Series.
I changed the cover to symbolize the crows perched on branches watching to eat those that had fallen from battle. Feathers and light try and break though to show some hope to those remaining, but the blood splatters make it hard to see past all the destruction.
